Broken Rodeo 02:26
Late night Ferris wheel lighting up the sky Mid-September not a cloud in my eye Bull riders and barrel girls race for the dough Emcee call their numbers out and the clown steals the show At a broken rodeo you'll find a wholesome child Young girl from the year before strolling behind her son Baby in a carriage and she's waiting on another one Old sneakers on her feet replace the boots she used to wear Time passes by to quick when you're waiting for the fair Shiny buckles, dusty boots Looking for something, finding roots At a broken rodeo you'll find a wholesome child Young kids on the rides screaming with no fear Older kids are in the tent and they're lining up for beer Parents gather with watchful eyes talking up a storm Older folks sitting on the benches remember when they were young Shiny buckles, dusty boots Looking for something, finding roots Young eyes and grey hair, amazed at this ride At a broken rodeo you'll find a wholesome child At a broken rodeo you'll find a wholesome child At a broken rodeo you'll find a wholesome child

I'm Alright 04:09
I’m alright, I’m alright now Getting better all the time It’s been a bit rough for the last little while But I’m finally feeling fine I tried so hard to look forward After spending so long looking back When I think about all the time that we had A man can’t ask for more than that No, a man can’t ask for more than that So take a walk in my footsteps Like I tried to walk in yours I spent my best days looking through windows And my worst nights walking out doors It used to be so far on the horizon Now it’s almost in the palm of my hand And when I finally hold it I’m not sure what I’ll do But when it comes I’m sure I’ll understand So take a walk in my footsteps Like I tried to walk in yours I spent my worst days looking out windows And my best days working outdoors I’m alright, I’m alright now Getting better all the time It’s been a bit rough for the last little while But I’m finally feeling fine So take a walk in my footsteps Like I tried to walk in yours I spent my best nights holding you closer And my worst nights pacing these floors

Rain on the wind I can’t believe it’s gonna pass us by again Hay in the field Turning brown its gonna be another hungry year I got cows in the pasture, I got sheep in the pen Chickens feeling all cooped up but no grain in the bin No fuel in the tank, water wells going dry Farm bills keep coming in no matter how hard we try Oh my Pain in different ways Sometimes it comes and goes, sometimes it stays for days Stay until we go We’re running out of time before we got to hit the road Oh no No cows in the pasture, no got sheep in the pen No chickens layin’ today, they’re gone to pay the rent again No Chevy in the shed, water wells gone dry Farm bills keep coming in and mama sets down to cry Oh my Main street in town Gusty and ghostly ain’t nobody left around Day after day Everything starts crumbling down as everybody else moves away Hey Hey Ain’t nothing in the pasture, ain’t nothing in the pen Ain’t nothing need coopin’ up, ain’t nothing more to say, my friend. Ain’t nothing in the pasture, ain’t nothing in the pen Ain’t nothing need coopin’ up, because this right here’s the end Ohh

I believe in a certain way, a certain order to things And I believe that sometimes things get turned around But most of the time, you can depend on things to be where they should be That’s why I'm so surprised to find you on the other side You've changed, you've changed Your venom hits me hard, oh You’ve changed I've known you all of my life, I've been inside your mind And I know things that you hide away, yeah, yeah, there hard secrets to keep And I know what you do and what you want to do are two different things Yeah they're good and bad, sometimes you've got to choose which one fits you better Cause you've changed, you've changed My memory's forsaken me, it seems to me you've changed You’ve changed Remember when we were two-of-a-kind, we were Siamese Spending our time travelling just to get away, I really wanted just to get away You went off and took a high road and left me here to find my own way But guess what I found along the way? I found myself...at least I think I found myself Cause I've changed, I've changed My shadow it surprises me, look how big that I can be I've changed Can’t you see what I've become? Suddenly it seems I've come undone

You can buy a physical copy of this album at the store on www.fullerhull.ca

A bona fide farmer-philosopher, fuller hull offers “March” as his debut album. It offers a peek into his life between the great grasslands and prairie rivers at the edge of the Canadian Shield. His songs reflect on our walk through this world, with themes of nature, relationships, time, and life in the field and on the farm.

about

fuller hull Beausejour, Manitoba

A songwriter for the Second Chancers.

Fuller Hull is an alt-country, indie folk artist whose songs offer a rustic handle and a sharp edge. Drawing from experience of the real world unfolding around him, his songs unravel the mistakes he made as a younger man as he charts a new path. He’s taken his time to get here, and you're invited to join him in his rediscovery of what matters most. ... more
